DAE Error 9131...help!!

For the last week or so I have been trying everything to try and resolve a DAE error that won't allow me to play back my saved sessions. Here are the details, if anyone has any suggestions please offer them.. I am using: Digi001, PTLE v5.3, P4 3.06GHz, 1GB RAM, 2 x 80GB EIDE ATA HD... I can record audio with no problems...playback newly recorded audio with no problems, everything appears to be all in order UNTIL...I re-open a saved session and hit play on the transport box then "DAE Error 9131"... I am pretty sure this is a HD configuration issue...but I cannot figure it out... The strange thing is that at about 5am on Saturday morning, after staying up all night trying to fix it, it suddenly worked and playedone of my saved sessions...I closed it to try it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke - and then got the same error again... VERY FRUSTRATING!!! If anyone can help...or suggest something please do...

Actually I tried that already with no success... Same thing happened My error seems to be slightly different...I don't have any error messages until I hit play...everything opens up and looks fine until then...

I take it you've read the other AnswerBase entires too then.. and checked your drive for any errors? What brand of drives do you have, how do you have them formatted, are they basic, etc..?? Rail

Definately sounds like an HD issue. Here's some questions to ask yourself: Is the drive that your audio is on dedicated for just audio? Have you tried recording audio to your other drive (regardless if it's dedicated or not) to see if it renders the same results? Are your hard drives installed on the same IDE cable? Is this a hard drive that you installed yourself? or did it come with your computer? Things to look for, make sure the jumpers on the HD's are set correctly (one master, one slave). Make sure your CMOS settings are correct, though if this is a newer HD it will probably have autoconfigured itself. Last, make sure you formated the new drive.

RE: DAE Error 9131...help!!

Thanks for your help everyone... I'm not sure what brand of drives they are...they came with the computer (whatever Dell use)... They are both set to basic and not dynamic... I have opened a session from my D: drive (audio) and saved a copy to the C: drive, reopened the copy and still experienced the same error... I'm not sure whether they are installed on the same IDE cable?? How would I check the jumpers? I take it the C: Drive should be the master and the D: audio drive should be the slave? I imagine the CMOS settings are autocnfigured, as this is a brand new computer bought last week... thanks again for your help...
