When I insert a New MIDI Item it always gets created with the Measure value of ZERO. Has anyone got a clue why?

you should make a time selection (alt+right-click) then insert the midi item and it should be created the length of that time selection. not sure why you are getting a values of Zero. greetigns .t

Normally, if no time selection is made, "new MIDI" item will be created with one measure length. The only thing I can imagine is you have managed to make a tiny time selection. Hit ESC to get rid of it or do as Mr Tallisman sais and use it to determine the lenghth and placement of the inserted item. Btw, when no item is selected, you can draw an empty MIDI item of any length with CTRL+drag. With another item selected, this draws a copy of the selected item. Feels very snug.

Well ... no :). I select for example 8 bars (4/4) and Insert a New MIDI Item, and as I open it with the internal editor it has a measure of ZERO and I have to set it manually to i.e. 1/16 in order to put in any notes (sorry if I mistake the names measurements/bars)
