RE: DVD Movie running Fast

I have 4 SVCD files that I want to put on to DVD, So I procceded by de muxing ( TMPGENC = m2v) fixing the file header ( DVD Patcher ) & Obtaining a Stereo AC3 audio track of each file ( 48Khz & 192 Kbs ) The four m2v files were placed sequecially in the Time line of Maestro, The 4 audio files were syncronised to the files. No menu was made but 20 chapterpoints were made. Total time of movie was 2hours 54 mins. When syncing the AC3 files to the individual M2V files I noticed that the left hand column indicatedwrong starting times for the individual video files, I just asumed that this was a cosmetic blip. So I proceeded to compile the DVD all was well and the necessary files were authored on to my HD..... But when I came to test the movie with PowerDVD. the Movie is playing at a fast speed with no audio at all. Help ... Is it not possible to convert 4 SVCD movies on to DVD. Help appreciated .... Tony..

RE: DVD Movie running Fast

when u r creating sync audio the timecodes in video should much the ones in audio otherwise u 'll get an empty (silent) audio. U should noticed it as the creation of the audio was ultra fast for a file that is more than 200mbs in size. I assume that your timecodes r not corresponding. What u can do is ... Place only the 1st stream of video in the timeline and then reset the wallclock. Just up and to the left of the video. Place the rest of the movie fragments in timeline and try to create a sync audio stream. If it works u r OK. If not u should remake the ac3 files and assign to them the start time of the video. In softencode this can be done in the export dialogue box. If u r not using it I am afraid u r on your own. Alternatively u can create 4 movies from the 4 fragments. In this case u won't have any problems with audio sync and u can link the end of a part to the start of the next. There is a thread of a smart trick that lets u navigate with next/previous button from one part to the next/previous. Search on a thread with subject that contains 'Dual layer DVD' it was posted around July I think. Pls report back if u have any problems.
