Hi. Don't know is this right forum for my question, but I'll try with question. Bought NEC 1300 DVD burner (bulk), and don't know how to install him. Namely, on primary IDE channel is HD as master, on secondary IDE channel is CD burner as master, and DVD player as slave. Which combination will be optimal (want to keep everything) according to master/slave and IDE channels combination. My config is P4 1,4 with 512 mb SDRAM and Win XP pro. Appreciate any help. gluka

RE: installing DVD burner

I think your current combination is enough. The system only slows down if you put HDD and DVD player/DVD burner in single IDE. As your Optical drives are in seperate IDE, you will not be having any problem in burning. I'm using the similar combination, except the burner is a CD one. I have never encountered a problem with this setting. Bye :)
