I just ripped Amelie last night using subrip and subadjust and maestrosbt etc. The subtitles in the movie start off synced but by the end of the movie are around 30 seconds off or so. Anyone run into this problem before?

RE: Help Subtitles out of sync Maestro

I did Amelie last week and I used the BMP option in SubRip. I tried the OCR option first and it was driving me mad going through the text (esp. all those special chars). For the BMP option, in Subrip, select the Maestro preset when you define the palette, then when you have imported into Maestro, load the palette file (.spf) which Subrip creates for you. All done.

RE: Help Subtitles out of sync Maestro

thanks guys cine, did you ave any issues with the subs going out of syn toward the last part of the movie...say last 45 minutes to end? Do you have to do the pulldown method to create two .m2v files? im using tmpegenc to make the m2v files. thanks

RE: Help Subtitles out of sync Maestro

ok i tried a bunch of stuff and nothing works..40 minutes into the movie the subs are already out of sync and by the end a good 8 seconds out of sync. I ripped subs with subrip choosing maestro as the output...the subtitle file window first showed a 23.976 fps and that was out of sync. i changed it to 29.97 and redid the sub rips and saved the .son file reimported into maestro and still no luck. What is going on??

RE: Help Subtitles out of sync Maestro

bloody hell finally got it to work. heres is what was wrong in case itll help someone. I was using pulldown 0.99c instead of 0.99d apparently 0.99c does not do the drop frames flag correctly whereas 00.99d does. Once i passed my TMPGenc encoded vid thru pulldown 0.99d using pulldown input.m2v output.m2v -prog_frames p -drop_frames true then bring the output.m2v file into maestro and then import the subs from subrip (make sure in subrip its set to maestro output and the window shows it at 29.970. That fixes the problem. Next thing to figure is how to get my subtitles in yellow instead of red!!
