Replace selected Item with Item under Mouse Cursor ?

Any Script Master thinks this is scriptable ?: Replace selected Item with Item under Mouse Cursor. Workflow: 1) You select an Item. 2) You hoover your mouse over another item. 3) You execute the wishful Script. Outcome: The Item under the mouse is placed at the start of the selected Item and it replaces that, the length of the replacing Item stays at it's origin, it doesn't adapt to the length of the replaced Item. This functionality is available in Project Bay, but i'd rather see it available as an Action to which i can assign a keycommand then having to open the Project Bay first. #fasterworkflow I am very willing to donate ! This Lua script does something similar you requested. This script replaces take sources (item properties are not "copied"), so most probably this script will need editing. Well here's a start, at least :) Code:

This seems awesome, many thanks ! However: - I imported this action. - I tried it with 2 audio items., one selected and the mouse hoovered over the other one. - Execute Script. Outcome: Script doesn't work : the only thing that i can see happening is a very fast popup and disappearing of the peak building window. I am on OSX 10.10.5 , Reaper 5.11pre11 - 64bit. EDIT: Tried your script with 2 midi Items : doesn't happen anything either ..

This works for audio takes only (I think) and SWS extensions is needed. Don't know why it doesn't work on audio items on your computer...

im having this problen now in reaper 6.59 sws 2.12.1.3 if i selected more than x amount of media items (drum replacment) im geting this message ..._Replace selected items with item under mouse cursor.lua:53: bad argument #1 to 'MoveMediaItemToTrack' (MediaItem expected) and when i close the error window , replace some items and delete anothers I have reinstalled reaper, sws and reapck two times but still not working if anyone know how to fix it it will be apreciated ,thanks.
