Do I need a new computer since Win. 7 coming out?

Well it seems Windows 7 64 bit needs 2 GB of RAM? . So I have vista 64 bit on 2.4 ghz quadcore PC with 4 GB of RAM, running Reaper, Reason 4, NI Audio Kontrol Interface, Kore 2, NI Maschine, Novation Sl Remote 61, Omnisphere/Trilogy, and more VST's. Everything runs great. I just bought this new desktop three months ago. I have 3 GB of RAM physically available. Maybe I should get the 32 bit version of Windows 7 which require 1 GB of RAM? Thoughts?

if You're already running vista 64, then as pointed out win 7 64 will run a little quicker on the same hardware. I presume you're running reaper 32 bit,well if you want to take advantage of more memory then you'll need some 64 bit VSTI's and JBridge to bridge them into Reaper 32,which is exactly what i'm using ATM :-) MC

you can also use jbridge on a 64 bit system in order to bridge additional 32 bit vst(i) into a 32 bit program, thus bypassing the memory limitations by executing plugins in their own processes. I have 8 gigs of RAM, running windows 7 on a quadcore - i just run 32 bit reaper, use my plugins as normal - if i need more memory hungry plugins, i just bridge them in.
