Recording Punch: Audio on other tracks drops out!

I don't udnerstand why, after doing this thousands of times, I go to record my bass player doing the overdub cleanup thing, I use the markers, 10 second pre-roll like always, except when it goes into record, all other tracks drop out(mute), and all I hear is the track now being recorded. The thing I don't understand is why this happened, I didn't change any setting that I am aware of. Any answers out there? Thanks ahead of time!

you should check and see if you've accidentally enabled input only monitoring

Input monitor would do anything to the other tracks not in record. Sounds like you recorded some automation. By the way... Why would you want to do that type of Pucnh? It is so much more convienent to use Quick Punch. And you have the extra bonus of trimming the punch if he plays early.
