*caugh* hrm. *caugh caugh* too lazy to tweak and read up the forum? No offense, but PLEASE. We're not here to give you "perfect" settings for the encodes waiting on your HDD ;P I suggest hitting "load defaults" in your case.

@Nemesis7, Try read the iago's documentation, download it from Nic's page : Read that document carefully, and let's see the XviD's magic begin!

I'm sorry. I spent months tweaking settings and reading posts here...its just BS to give someone something you spent so much time on...and a lazy mofo at that... I just dont agree with this post being here at all :(

@Hybrid Keep in mind that those settings are mere tips for this movie, like all the other posts about settings, Is a way to know how the others make the things, but this is not the way to make ALL the movies...

Gone in 60 Seconds is not the perfect movie for doing the test. The movie is dark and very compressible. Why don't you try one of the harder ones out there?

As someone said... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. people like xvid because its so tweakable. Others because its open. I happen to just like the 'look' i get with xvid, combined with its open nature. If you have been getting good results with Divx, then use it and be merry. It wont hurt my feelings if you dont use Xvid

XviD's GMC is a proof-of-concept in it's current state, and it's buggy. Don't use it! Koepi

@Koepi Is GMC buggy in encoding or decoding? Can you give me more info on it's limitations?

Like koepi said... is a proof-of-concept in it's current state... so the problem is in the encoder and so also in the decoder...
