Our car has had the water and oil drained at some point in it's 34 years off the road and in doing so, they've removed the sump plug and not kept it with the car. We have a day off tomorrow and wonder if anyone knows if a sump plug from any other Volvo would fit it... ideally so that we can go and raid one from a scrapyard if possible cheers
i would guess any b series engine sump plug would fit, so 140s and probably early 240s, surely there not too expensive though, and as long as you know the right size you could get one from your local auto shop?

I would suggest to buy a magnetic drain plug. This plug catches metal debris early out of circulation before it can do any harm and tell you with each oil change how the engine is doing. And don't forget to purchase the proper copper seal ring with it!
