I also updated the MIDI Vocoder effect available on the stash. The original had an arbitrary limitation of 16 notes for the carrier. The new version has an arbitrary limit of 128 notes. ;) I also cleaned up the code a little bit. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.

Something similar in mind: splitting melody from chord/scale

RE: JSFX MIDI "Vocoder"

Hi, I'm looking for something technically similar to this. Let's say I arange this: Chord played continues: d3, f3, a4. Melody played, short notes: c0, c#0, d0. Result: The result would be midi notes played at d3, f3, a4 where d3 is played when in the midi source c0 is actually played, c#0 corresponds to f3 and d0 corresponds to a4. It would be no problem two play two or more notes at the same time in the melody, it just maps to the chord. Thinking further you could use a whole (selectable) octave for a melody and play chords which will actually play notes from the melody. Benefits/fast workflow: For composing it would also be very fast. You could use two midi lanes on a track. One for the melody which keeps repeating and another lane with chords. For a new instrument you could copy the chords midi clips and create another melody midi clip. It would also be easy to change the melody in a later stage of producing a track. You only have to do this once. Does this script already exist? Anyone who would like this too? If it's still unclear. Here is a video of something similar done with Kirnu cream: I would just like to have this within the daw just drawing melody's in a regular way.

Thanks for the quick reply and help. Still doing some research. I guess I meant jsfx instead of script ;)
