This is excellent timing, actually, for me. I just recently bought and while it works very well, I do still get a few bum notes at the end of phrases and such. If I could use the virtual midi keyboard to tap out rhythms while I sing, I could probably clean up the output a little more. Looking forward to trying this out.

I know you'll still attempt to implement the idea first but... ...It would be hella cool if you put strumming options with it too. Ex.: note for strum up and another for strum down, like those MusicLab guitars. :D

1) Thanks for this, I'll test it later 2) Link to instead of your current link. Users apart from yourself will get kicked to the main page because we're not you. 3) @Above, it's channel based. Seems fairly explanatory.

RE: JSFX MIDI "Vocoder"

So i fiddled around with this and it works like a charm ! I did set it up like this: 1) Instrument track with a piano vst on it. In the fx chain, before the piano plugin, i put midi vocoder. On this track, i have a midi item with a chord progression. 2) A second track, routed to instrument track, audio send disabled and midi routing set to all midi channels > midi channel 2. On this track, a midi item with a note pattern in it. 3) Go in play and you can hear the chords being triggered by the note pattern, great stuff ! Only thing i am trying to do next is recording the outputted rhythmic chord pattern as midi, but no luck: When you set "record output > midi" on the instrument track, it will not record the outputted rhythmic chord pattern.

I'll look into this. Can you try routing the MIDI to a new track and recording the output of that track? I think that should work.

This is excellent!!!!! Thank you very much :) yes routing to a new track and recording midi output works. MIDI vocoder is not a bad name :)
