Loss of streaming error when burning with Fireburner

I have been getting a "Loss Of Streaming" Error when burning with Fireburnera lot. I burn at 1x or 2x only. I dont know what is the problem, it seems that sometimes I can go back into DVD2SVCD and recover thus remuxing and remaking the image file. I am using I=Author because cds i make with xbuild wont play in my standalone. They have a long cue sheetfor some reason. Also, I have to use CDMage bbecause I use WinXP Pro and it doesnt like EZ CD CReator. I am wondering what causes the loss of streaming error (Write error) and even when they burn ok, one of last messages in the log of fireburner is that there is a write error but I guess that is normal. I am wondering is it I-Author, MPG2MPS, DeMux, CDMage or Fireburner screwing up. Also, I started using fireburner because it made less coasters than CDRWin did.

Have you tried it with Nero? Fireburner is no longer a recommended burning app, as newer versions have tended to cause trouble.

No hadnt tried nero, but i have it already. I heard before that it didnt support PBC. I would guess that I would have to make a .nrg file instead of bin/cue in CDMage? Also, what are correct modes in cdmage for a supervcd? 2336? 2352? 2336? Looked at CDMage site with no info there and cant find anything here either... (Added at 925 PM EST) I Tried to mak a nrg file with cdmage, but it only has option of bin/cue files... Wht gives with that? Somuch for nero.

Nero burns CD images such as cue/bin files. Or you can do the process eplained in the FAQ. Read how to make a perfect burn in the faq.

RE: Loss of streaming error when burning with Fireburner

[Pulling the dagger out of your back] I was a bit heavy handed I know. You asked how to burn an image. This is a very simple two or three step process that even has pretty pictures on Doom9's guide. Just make sure Nero is up to date. Older version had serious bugs when it came to SVCD's. Also if you read the Q+A it clearly says Fireburner is not recomended. Personally I now use Nero's Image burn or VCDEasy. I only use Daemon tools for checking the videos, but this is just me the most recomended way is the fool proof method in the Q+A. This all assumes you are trying to burn the cue/bin files and not the mpg. Mark

I didnt realize that the Q&A section was posted as a sticky. I had seriously) been looking in the various section on the site. Dumb me. I know I should have read all stickies. I will try what was recommended there. Sounds wise. Thanks and sorry for posting a redundant question.
