Big Long Swoooshy noises

Hello, Have been playing with synths and making some variations on beeps buzzes and squeaks and various sequences of beeps and buzzes. Should I also be able to make big long swoooshy noises like waves on a beach or wind in the trees or long sustained wobbly cello notes etc ? Bill

mainly white noise ? 

FOund a thing called spooky keys that almost does what I am imagining. What I want seems to be mainly "noise" with a little bit of structure behind it Seems to me I should be able to do this on a synthesiser.
