pproblem with E-MU 1212M pci soundcard outs

Reaper,preference,audio device does not list the soundcards hardware outs (like analoge L an R, and the 8 adat channels). It only lists :ASIO 31/32 in the output range fields in the preference. and so does the masterchannel IO button. so what do I do? how do I route my outputs to the other outputs on my soundcard. there is ok sound out from my monitors connected to analoge L and R outs on my soundcard. Newbee with Reaper.

Hi Oej, welcome to the forum... I suppose the 1212M has the same control panel as my 1616M, the EMU Patchmix. In there you can see the ASIO 31/32 strip, you can add an insert 'SEND to Physical Output', select the output that you want there... If you want more output channels, you can add more Patchmix strips with other ASIO channels... and route them out the other outputs. You can also change the in- and output names in the Patchmix panel (below...), then those names show up in the ASIO hosts (Reaper...). You can see I haven't named my outputs, but my inputs have usable names (Dock A/B, J99, ...) Eddy

Refer to E-MU's manual. That E-MU patchmix application seem a little tricky first but you get the idea of it's routings and stuff when reading the manual and trying out things. You basically have to prepare all your i/o in the patchmix application before you get any sounds in or out of that thing. MPM

to Helpdeskeddy,Dungbeetle and MPM. thank you sooooo much. You were right.my problem was no inserted sends in the asio31/32 strip in the emu patchmix. after I did that, the outputs were available in Reaper. oej Reaper newbee.

Hi. I have a similar problem to this, in my case in the Routing Matrix it just shows as ''ASIO In 31 (stereo/MC)'' not 31/32 although all these are enabled in the preferences. It appears to be recording and outputting in stereo, so is this just an abbreviation or am I doing something wrong?
