I have encoded a movie with dvd2svcd, problem is when i play it in a dvd player (phillips dvd612) it get,s a problem near the end of the movie, it freezes the movie then jumps a couple frames back and plays further, it get,s out of sync i discover and correct it to jump back a couple frames, it seems to occur with a acer burner, 20 speed burning, the old one 8 speed has no problems maybe i do something wrong. the audio als gets jerky and out sync and then it freezes and jumps back then plays further completely in sync. greetings kees

You should read the Q&A. It is said often that burning at too high speed can cause this kind of problems. Just burn your disc slower and the problems will disappear.

Please follow forum rule 9 and use a title that describes the problem. I agree with what Labersack said. Try that first and you would have see this answer if you read the Q+A. It also sounds very much like the DVD player doesn't like the video size on the disc. This happens to me on my Pioneer if I burn too large and image. Try setting the cd size smaller by 5 or 10mb's each time when you are making a SVCD until this problem goes away. So if the cd size now says 800 edit it to say 790 or 795 and try making the svcd again. This could very well be a player issue as those same discs that won't play because they are too large in my Pioneer play fine in my Apex and on my computer. Every DVD player has it's own quirks. I burning a movie with 8 speed, and have tryed with 2 speed, i have a image of 790 mb, this problem occurs with this burner, the acer 2010a i have bought a plextor, this moment, and no problem anymore, the old acer of 8 speed has no problems, i have open the acer 2010a and it has a phillips laserunit and engine the same one as used in the famieus 3610 burner with his problems, phillips has bad things except the tv set, everything what has a angine in it and it is phillips leave it for what is was. greetings kees
