How common is Error Type 2?

This is a constant problem I am having with my b&w g3 450. It seems to be only when working with a session that has very long audio files, like recording an hour set or something. I have tried everything, including checking my ram. I would just like to know if this is happening to anyone else and how you fixed it. Thanks, Jason

It is common...if you are running OS 9.1. I updated from 9.0.4 to 9.1 and got type 2 errors up the ying-yang. My solvant was to look for updates to all of the software that I got the errors with...a lot of them posted updates specifically for use with 9.1. The other solve I found was to simply re-install the software that I couldn't find updates for. Ironically, Pro Tools has been the only stable program of the bunch. Weird, wild stuff.

Thanks RobbaDobba but I am using 9.0.4. It has happened with Protools and the extensions manager. Any other imput is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason

Hi, you're on the right track,i had same problem,couldn't fix for weeks! and then i found that it was extensions conflict.So the solving is to reselect Mac OS base extension set, and enable all Digi,OMS extensions,USB,duplicate the set, make it "PT le", and error type is gone.Maybe you'll have to do this twice or more,as for me it stays stable for a while now.
