Stereo Code

All I have an S40 t4 1999 and had to diconnect the battery. Now my stereo is asking for the code, looked in the manual but nothing. Anyone got any ideas ? Or know where I can get the code ? Cheers

Hi, Contact a main dealer with your reg number and they should be able to give you the code. Some dealers as for a "fee" for this "service"..! Should they come up with the wrong code (make sure you enter the given code ONLY 2 TIMES....) you will need to go to the dealer with the part number for the radio AND the serial number. They have a tool that can give the radio code from these two pieces of information... Des. . . ;)

if you have the service manual; check in there too, mine was written on the back page (no ref or ID that it was the code...) and also surupticiously (spelt wrong/??) at the front of the same manual with the car vin etc... Like you there was nothing in the owners manual..... its a4 digit number by the way..... good luck....

have you checked on the stereo sometimes written on if it has been removed in the past

give rufe an email with your reg, it took him an hour too get back to me with the stereo code. his a top bloke!

hi, i have an s40 t 4 too and the code is in the stereo (4 digits), press the two litlle vertical bars on the sides of car stereo and will eject it, pull from both and read the code best regards.
