Hardware not recognised ?

Hi guys, I hope someone can help me with this one. My Digi 001 has been working perfectly for the last 2 months . Then this morning when i went into the studio and launch Pro Tools, i get an error message saying [ Pro Tools hardware not installed or being used by another application ] So i've checked the card it's seated perfectly in the first PCI slot after the graphics card , and i can't figgure out what other aplication would be using my pro tools hardware. Please help i'm going nuts. G4 400 192 meg ram 10 gig system drive 28 gig Segate barracuda audio drive ATA 66 7200 Adaptec 2930 scussi card OS 9.04

Did you recently select "Digidesign" in the "Sound" control panel for using the 001 output with Quicktime and internal sounds? That's usually what causes it. ------------------ LW
