I got yesterday the roland xv5050 and connected it to the digi001 via spdif coaxial. The problem is the level in ptle is very low. The xv's level is at max. Is there any way of getting a hotter level via coaxial spdif?

Are you using a 75ohm coax?

BTW, I am thinking of getting the VX5050, is is good, apart from the current issue Are the keyboard sound cool? Does it have good piano/organ sounds or is it more 'synthy' sounds.

Yes, Im using a 75kohm cable. I just found another previous thread stating the same problems and the only remedy was to go analog (1/4 trs) or insert a trim plug. Bummer.
