Does any one know what type of lead I need to connect an iPod to the back of the floating stack? I have looked at the hole where the connection is and there appear to be 3 little vertical oblong slots in the PCB. I have looked on Volvo's web site and cannot find a suitable lead. Thank you.
It should just be a standard 3,5mm stereo jack but that is not what you are describing. Did Volvo start fitting a USB connector without telling us?

I just got a new 2007 S80 and enquired about this USB/Ipod thing they've not heard about it and the site price is TBC I'll keep you updated when I hear more as they are going to let me know when its out... for now, its the aux port but this cable is coming out soon apparently
Bearing in mind the cost that Volvo stuck on to their Ipod connectors/cables for the old units (in S60's, V70s etc) I wouldnt be suprised if its similar if not more I think I'll get my dealership to make a deal with me that as I'm buying this car, to write it down on paper that I get the ipod cable for free - see if it works :)

I have given up as it seems as my C30 is an '07 model and the iPod lead cannot be retro fitted! I have bought a little transmitting device that plugs into the Ipod and I can tune it into the radio. Works fine for my tone deaf ears and a lot cheaper to boot! Thank you for all the replies.
