master.tcp height : any improvement done or planned ?

Still wondering what is going on with it. At its present state, I am not allowed to decrease the master.tcp height to less than 74 pixels, this even with Reaper 5 pre27... Rather irritating to see this limitation still alive. What is the problem about making the master.tcp track to bahave as the other ones concerning this ? There are several cases in which being able to reduce its vertical size would be clearly useful. I've seen this one on the subject : , but it's about three and a half years old. So, I just hope that I'm missing something that has been added since (hidden or undocumented parameter, Reaper.ini setting...). Thanks for any eventual hint about this...

Is this hard-coded or an aspect of the WALTER code?

It's hard-coded...and annoying. So, it's always been 'see it big, or not at all'. I've never understood why it's so important for it to have to be that way. It seems like it would be very simple to change, and it would improve visual/theme appearance and consistency.

Thanks for your answers... So, it seems that nothing has been done, since. I just checked and apparently, no FR has been done yet, about this. Is it worth doing one, as there are already more than 11000 others in the pile ? I doubt it... Guess we'll have to continue with, as cincikat just said, with a 74+ pixels height master.tcp track or nothing. It's already truely annoying with a 1920x1200 resolution and I feel for the ones who have a less wide display... Would really like someone in the dev team to chime in, at least, to explain us the meaning of this limitation.

There is now a solution for it. In , appears a new rtconfig.txt header parameter : tcp_master_minheight 74 I just tested it with different values (22, 49...) and it perfectly works with reaper 5.0. So, is this one new or undocumented until now ? Don't really know but the main thing is that the problem seems to be solved, at least for this reaper version. A really needed theming improvement... :)
