Loading Files Into CCE

What i am trying to do is copy a dvd 9 to a dvd-5 by re-encoding the mpeg2 stream & then remux with ifoedit preserving the whole disc so i need an mpeg2 encoder that will give good quality at low bitrates (tmpg is good but it wont give me the quality at the bitrates i need) thats why i need cce because from what ive read it is the best mpeg2 encoder you can get. I have a copy of cce sp but have trouble frameserving (from virtualdub just gives me an error), i dont know how to write avisynth scripts so can anyone help me any further ?

When I try to load an avs script in CCE it just tells me that it is not an AVI. I find no other posts reporting a problem like this. Is there a solution?

only the latest versions of cce support avisynth scripts, i have version 2.66 and it accepts scripts no problem my guess is you are using version 2.50 or earlier.

RE: Loading Files Into CCE

I have version 2.62. Very frustrating to fall in the gap like that. If I had 2.66 I would know it should work and if I had 2.5 or earlier I would know that it shouldn't but 2.62 leaves me in limbo. On the other hand you probably noticed that was my very first post and I thank you profusly for the quick response!!

You can't use .avs directly in CCE 2.62. As a workaround you can use the program link2, It works like vfapi, creating a virtual avi file, but keeps the color in yuv so it doesn't slow down encoding.
