Controlling Reaper Mixer and Vst with Axiom 61

Hi, I'm triyng to setup my axiom 61 in reaper to control the track volume, pan and mute with faders, knobs, and buttons but I have a problem. I've created 5 presets on the axiom where i've mapped the midi cc so that I can control the track volumes with the faders, the pan with the knobs and the mute with the buttons. With the 1st preset I control the tracks from 1 to 8, with the second 9 to 16 and so on. With this method I can mix 40 tracks by only changing the presets on the keyboard. But using this method I've used 120 of the 127 midi CC and now I can't assign the midi cc to vst instruments. How can I keep this configuration and use also midi cc to control vstis? Thanks

When you say "control VSTis" I guess you mean controlling VSTi parameters mapped to MIDI CCs (i.e automation), not sending MIDI CCs to directly to the VSTis. If so, then you could send the MIDI CCs that you want to control VSTi parameters on a different channel For example: MIDI CCs on channel 01 =>> control the tracks MIDI CCs on channel 02 =>> control the VSTi parameters MIDI CCs on channel 03 =>> control other VSTi parameters Is that workable for you?

Yes, you have understood perfectly my problem.I need to control the parameters of vstis with midi cc. I've already tried your solution, but even if i assign the controls to different channels reaper continues to control everything that is mapped on the same midi cc, indepently from the channel. Maybe there's some option in reaper that I've missed?

Problem solved. My mistake was that I've didn't remap the action list to the correct channel... Sorry, and thanks!
