Hi Chris, All the codes have been read and deleted, the car did drive up the road and back there is no more flashing arrow and the management light is gone off. However after parking it has lost drive again. Hmmmm? Now would volvo be able to read TCM considering there are no lights lit on dash any more is it possible the data may well be stored within. It's possible but may require some more driving, however that risks further damage. Worth trying to get the Volvo codes read I would think. Could it be possible for the solenoid that controls torque converter failed ? I guess it's possible but usually results in hard shifting rather than no drive. I guess it would not cost too much time to remove the electrical connector on top of the box and check for obvious wiring problems. Also check the PNP switch, I quick cure is to run the gear lever back and forth about 20 times with the engine off to clean it's internal contacts, not always successful or long lasting though. Electrical checks for the four speed box are forther up the thread. Is this a four speed (Turbo) or five speed (NA) box? Not too good when it comes to autoboxes any views or sugesstions would be very helpfull (THANKS)
