RTFM or What? : 2 mono trx to 1 stereo

Try enabling "free item positioning" from the track menu for the selected track -- in this case the left track (make sure the track, not the item, is selected). The "left" item should have just gotten narrower and now has a little rectangular box at the bottom of it. Now drag the "right" track right into that same track. This is something that I believe only Reaper does -- you can actually have multiple items in the same track! Then adjust panning for each in the item's properties, which you can see from hitting F2 after selecting the item. Pan one hard left; one hard right. If my explanation is unclear this is covered in Section 6.25 of the User's Guide. Welcome to the forums!

Of course, I think you'd need to pan your left/right tracks first... something I obviously forgot :p

Thanks Guys, I got close. I enabled free item positioning but didn't realize I could pan the in the F2 menu... My tracks were coming out mono. Until now! Thanks so much for your help. Reaper ROCKs. I spent 40 minutes trying to install ProTools (which I own) and got so fed-up I found Reaper and had it loaded and was editing within 4 minutes. I've beat the hell out of it at work for 3 weeks, editing 24 tracks with Outlook open, a remote terminal session, Excel, and about 7 browser windows open and never had a Problem... My Protools rig used to crash and completetly HOG my work computer to only doing half-ass SLOW protools session with less than 10 tracks.... I am thrilled with the performance and the sound too.
