I am new to Maestro and am trying to do a music compilation dvd that just autoplays when inserted in the dvd player. I have got the autoplay going but I originally authored it by adding each new song as a new movie, but it cant continue on to the next song by itself, I can get it to the next song by pressing "next" on my remote control. This way seems best as some of my "songs" are widescreen and some are 4:3, some of the audio is DTS and others 2 channel. I then tried using just one "movie" and putting the other ones beside it (to the right of it) and had no problems inserting the .m2v files beside each other but when I try to insert the audio I get a "track allready contains an asset, replace it" error and it appears that it would be easy to get the audio out of sync this way. So can somebody please point me in the right direction.
You can make each video into its own movie and then set the end action for each movie to start the next movie. For example: you can have the end action for movie 1 be to play movie 2, the end action for movie 2 to play movie 3, etc. The end actions can be set in the Command Sequences section of Maestro. dvdRENEGADE

I would like to join two Mpegs together on the same time line in Maestro and am having problems with the joining of the audio. Here is what I am doing. 1: grab a.m2v movie file and put in on the time line grab b.m2v file put in the time line. 2: Grab a.ac3 audio file put on the audio time line (sorry if this terminology is wrong) right click on the audio time line and select "Create Sync Audio Track" highlight b.ac3 audio file and select and assign that audio file to a.ac3 and click "Create Audio File" and I get a error that says "Audio Type Not Supported For Sync Audio". a.ac3 & b.ac3 both import as an asset no problems, and both audio files go into the time line individually. (without the other) What am I doing wrong. ????? :(
perhaps the two ac3's are different, i.e. different amount of speakers? Don't know if that would make a sync track impossible, I have never tried it anyway.
ok, the two files have to have the exact same bitrate and speaker setup, otherwise wont work. in your steps, you drag the .ac3 to the timeline then create sync; dont drag the .ac3 down. the error you are getting is usually caused cause you are trying to use DTS or m2a audio, rather then wav or ac3, or might be caused by your extra step, if the error persists, check the file(s) to see if its really an ac3. The two files are both the same bit rate. They are just taken from my video camera. I use Tmpegenc to get the mpeg and then a simple demultiplex to get the m2v and ac3 files
