S80 auto gearbox problem

have you tried to see if volvo have some downloadable upgrades from your dealer?

Hi I have repaired several of these problems,slow take up of drive,double clunk when drive is selected,sllow to take up reverse gear,the problem lies in the automatic transmission valve body,there are soliniod valves that stick in the past i have just simple replaced them but its not a job for the inexperienced it requires removing the auto gear box sump this involves removing the sub frame,well at lease lowering the front section,its a lot of work.but repairable.

Hi let me know how you go on i have tried a Forte treatment in the past some time it works some times it dosnt.
