@iNFO-DVD The BDVD matrix gives very good results on two of my three standalones. The first value in the intra-matrix is 16, to be compliant the first value should be 8, everything else is okay. Still, like I said even with the 16 value it works and gives good results in 2 out of 3 standalones. I am using it at 3000 bitrate and up. The colors seem to be more pronounced than with the default matrix. I am using the HC encoder in DVD-RB Pro. Try it you might like it. I wish like you, that more matrices were identified as "will work or not work with standalones". Also, a little info. about what range of bitrate to use it with would be helpful. The information about having to be above 16 in the inter-matrix from Sharktooth, is helpful, as is the info. that the first value in the intra-matrix should be 8. I also notice that the first intra value in the "Custom Quantization Matrix Editor 1.0" is Always set at 8. Regards,:)
